Oriental Strings is a comprehensive sound module application designed for oriental keyboard enthusiasts and musicians seeking to infuse their compositions with the distinctive sounds of the Orient and Middle East. The app allows you to connect an external MIDI keyboard to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch using Bluetooth MIDI or by utilizing Apple's USB camera adapter or any other compatible adapter approved by Apple. The meticulously crafted sounds of Oriental Strings have been exclusively recorded in collaboration with skilled musicians specializing in the oriental music style. Encompassing a range of string instruments synonymous with the Arabian genre, the app features distinct offerings such as the Chinese erhu alongside traditional Western string instruments. Noteworthy is the unique quality imparted to these Western instruments due to the musicians' specialization in oriental music, resulting in a distinctive sonic character.

The sound repertoire of Oriental Strings, designed by Kurt Ader, recipient of the prestigious NAMM 2015 "Best Sound Designer of the Year" award, spans 32 distinct sounds, including Chinese Erhu variations, Turkish and Arabian Strings, Tremolo and Spiccato Strings, among others.
